Best Shrimp: Tj�s Seafood Market
This is the best cooked shrimp we have ever eaten. It is cooked in the shell and hand cleaned, and they don�t have tails un less requested (that means about 40/lb). Sauces are made fresh on the premises �and there are lots of them-so buy your sauces here. TJ�s also carries Fischer and Weiser bottled sauces. The charred pineapple bourbon sauce is sweet and tart with a splash of bourbon.

Seeing how Dallas is landlocked, it makes sense that the owner of TJ�s is from Virginia Beach. Caren Alexis and her husband, Peter, bought the joint two years ago (it has been in operation since 1989). Tj�s offesr a regular daily menu of 17 varieties of fresh raw fish, includinv sushi-grade tuna and swordfish. If there�s something else with gills or shell you want, chances are Care can order it for you. Shipments of live Maine lobsters arrive three times per week�[Caren�s] quality control and customer service make her a fishmonger not to be trifled with. As she says, �I look at everything that comes through the door.�

There can be no argument that the fish is fresh at TJ�s Seafood Maret � It�s flown in two to three times a day from exotic ports of call. A regular United Nations of fish, you�ve got your Dover sole from England, your sea bass from Chile, your tilapia from Ecuador.
