TJ’s is casting a line into the 21st century with an email newsletter!

July 4th: Baseball, Apple Pie, Mom & Shrimp. TJ’s will be open the entire July 4th weekend, including Sunday July 1st and Tuesday July 4th. Add fireworks to your holiday weekend with beef tenderloin, take out, shrimp platters and lobster.

What’s New In The Chef’s Case? To the left of the sauces in the back corner of the market, TJ’s chefs showcase their latest culinary concoctions in the Chef’s Case. These selections change daily. Today we have homemade Tomato Basil Soup, Rice Pilaf, Apricot Glaze (perfect for tilapia, salmon or sea bass), Creamed Spinach and Garden Salad. Tomorrow? Come in and find out for yourself.

TJ’s Tips: Love Your Loins. Tuna and swordfish come in loins, not fillets like other fish. To keep your fish fresh as long as possible, buy your loins like you would beef or pork tenderloin…as an uncut loin. This reduces the surface area of the fish exposed to air. Let TJ’s professionals cut a loin the perfect size for your meal then slice into steaks before you cook.
